Well worth the price. Great system for small to medium sized rooms. Very easy user friendly setup as well. pretty much plug and play.
This is the first surround sound system that I have owned. It was all staticky so I had to unplug it. I got it for free from Best Buy when I bought my HDTV. I really enjoyed the sound quality and it met my TV and Videogame needs.Unfortunately, my front right speaker went out after about 1 year of daily use. It's been about another year after that and I'm starting to get a lot of static in the other speakers whenever there is an explosion in a videogame. Looks like it's time to get some new speakers.I don't know what the average lifetime of a surround sound system is, but it seems like it should last more than 1-2 years.
I have had this system for eight months. A good current test DVD for someone buying today would be "Batman-The Dark Knight". My test DVD was "Top Gun".
Great buy and product. Could not be happier with my purchase. I purchased it after reading reviews on Amazon site.
I was blown away and hardly had the sound turned up half way(40 on the meter). Easy to set up(and I'm no techno geek). System is located in a 12X14 room.
Would highly recommend this product. Super sound.
First of all I will help the people who were in the same awkward situation that I was in when I was looking for my first surround sound. The speaker wires are long enough to fit around any medium sized sitting room,it could connect to cabel and a ps3 at the same time,it can be heard the same all around the room, and with the microphone the set-up was simple. This is my first surround sound so I cant really compare it to anything else then the tv speakers and these make the tv speakers sound like crap.Other than that it was easy to set up and worked great with the tv and ps3.
The sound is clean with good base from the sub woofer. If you are looking for a decent home theatre system without having to get a degree in audio engineering, this is the system to get. It's fine if you are looking for decent surround sound and are not exceptionally fussy. You can't beat the price. Audiophiles will probably stick their noses up in the air but they will spend ten times the amount for a home theatre system that won't be 10 times better.
